Diesel Fragrance Factory: If you were a super hero, who would you be?

Simone Sbarbati: Definitely Spider Jerusalem (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spider_Jerusalem), a tattooed heavy smoker and misanthropic gonzo-journalist, once hermit, who drinks too much and like to try strange drugs to fight for the truth.

DFF: Who is your mentor?

SS: I don’t have a real one but I use to create a fictitious one who is the only person from whom I get advices. He always wears an hawaiian shirt and a poker hat.

DFF: What would you fight for?

SS: For truth and against hypocrisy. And for a good, huge dish of bucatini alla Carbonara.

DFF: What does “being brave” mean to you?

SS: Doing something that you suppose should be done even if you’re gonna pay consequences.

DFF: What is your last act of bravery?

SS: I’m really a sofa superhero… My bravest day of the week is when I take some time to reply the hundreds emails I’ve received and I have to tell to dozens of future haters that I don’t like their products, ideas, photos, illustrations…

DFF: What is the greatest challenge you’ve faced?

SS: Being a father.

DFF: What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?

SS: Maybe going to hell for about 24 hours during an illegal rave in London, when I was 18.

I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe…

DFF: What is your motto in life?

SS: Success comes with patience, that’s also the name of my blog on tumblr.

It comes from a fortune cookie I’ve found once in the best chinese restaurant in Rome.

DFF: What accomplishment are you most proud of?

SS: My two years old daughter Sveva.
